I had already had Susan take some books out of the library for me. Not only were they not well suited to the new needs of
my evolving non-Linux, non-SQL project, they were also due this day.
I went to the library and took out some books on JavaScript and webmastering.
Later, I downloaded a shareware FTP client with a spoon fed interface (WS_FTP, by Ipswitch) and put up my first HTML files (including my experimental form) into my web space on Prodigy, along with a Perl script to echo key/value pairs from an HTTP request that I stole off the Web. The Perl script did absolutely nothing. The Prodigy site told me it couldn't find the URL for the script. Weight Watchers compliant meal I made this night was Thai Red/Panang Curry Chicken and Vegetables. I couldn't bring myself to serve toast (again) with this masterpiece, so I made jasmine rice. Rice is a whopping point per quarter cup. As I measured out a measly half cup of rice, I longed for four slices of the miracle bread. Two points of rice was all we could afford (one for Susan) because the creamed coconut used in the curry was worth more points than an equivalent amount of butter. Matt and I bumped into double digits at a single meal for the first time, but we were all pleased at how un-Weight-Watchers-like the meal was. An hour later we were hungry. Susan and I watched Matt eat a cup of Healthy Choice cookies and cream ice cream. The two of us had eaten a "big lunch" of turkey subs and couldn't afford the extravagance of dessert.
