As I was directing Susan to my nascent web page, I noticed that the Perl script file was listed as "postquery.pl.txt".
Notepad appended a .txt file extension onto my Perl script. I hadn't noticed it during FTP. Well, then, problem solved.
Kind of. Next, my browser told me that I had requested to download my Perl script from Prodigy. Why didn't it just run?
Maybe the Prodigy server doesn't support Perl? Maybe they don't want idiots like me putting little executables on their
server, so they prevent them from executing? Hmmm. Ignorance isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Anyway, I had other things I wanted to accomplish this day. I brushed up on HTML and constructed this page to replace my "Version 0.1" page. And Cam doesn't go to day care on Fridays. He was a whiny, distracting bastard all day. That, combined with my extreme long-windedness, caused constructing the page to take all day. Weight Watchers compliant meal I made this night was Beef Sukiyaki. Except for the beef, this was extremely low in points, so we each piled it on a luxurious cup and a half of rice. Susan had to pass her meat to Matthew and me, but she doesn't like beef anyway. Also, because Susan and I had eaten a lighter lunch of Broccoli and Cheese Soup with toasted cheese sandwiches and spinach salad, all three of us could eat ice cream. Matt managed to bank an incredible 17.5 points going into the weekend. That's almost 6oz of Stilton! He ran around all week at work, too busy and distracted to eat. Susan and I just sat around all week nibbling low point snacks. Damn!
